To many people, going to school, any school, is just a means to an end, not the end itself. I can speak from my experience. UM wasn't my first choice, and perhaps subconsciously I saw that as a steppingstone rather than a place I belong to. I did not really fit in well. All I wanted was to move on to the next step.

I don't understand why people worked so hard to get into a good school, and then worked even harder to get out ASAP.😁
